With London Fashion Week starting on Friday, we want to show you the best apps you should have if you’re planning on attending the shows. Because who says you can’t be nerdy and trendy?
Style.com App
Back in 2008, Condé Nast’s site Style.com released its first smartphone application for all the fashion lovers out there. The app features the latest fashion news and runaway coverage from all the major fashion weeks around the world. The collections are added almost immediately after the shows take place, so if you have a busy schedule you can always know what’s been going on at the shows you’ve missed.
If you need some wardrobe inspiration you can also check the ‘Parties’ section to see who’s wearing what, or the ‘Look of the Day’ to find about the latest trends among people in the fashion world.
Fashion GPS Radar App
Apparently everyone was talking about this during last September’s New York Fashion Week. Fashion GPS Radar is a platform for connecting the fashion industry and making the management of events easier.
The iPhone app includes a calendar for managing fashion events and allows guest list access to find out who has rsvp’d.
Made Fashion App
This app has been designed to be a tool for fashion editors, designers, buyers and consumers. If the fashion show you’re attending supports the app, then it will receive some sound waves and automatically sync your phone or iPad to the show you’re currently at. You can get live photos from each look of the runway along with the designer’s name, bio and contact information. You can also add your own notes on every individual look or just tweet or post them to Facebook.
W Magazine Front Row App
If the fashion show you’re watching is quite boring or if you have some free time between the shows don’t forget to chek the W Magazine Front Row App. It offers a list featuring the best restaurants, shopping and cultural destinations in the 4 major Fashion Week cities (New York, London, Milan and Paris).
The app also includes a calendar with updated information on all the important events and shows, and some special offers from participating locations, because you might want to save some money on your hotel and spend it on that dress you just saw on the runway!
